Pretoriuskop Camp in Kruger

One of the larger and more luxurious game camp sites found close to Krugers Numbi entrance foundin the southwest of Kruger National Park.

The landscape consists of rocky mountain and steep ridges supporting klipspringer, reedbuck, rhinos, giraffes and wild dogs in the surrounding shrubs.

Accommodations are traditionally thatched rondawels for up to three visitors without bathroom. Other camp facilities include swimming pool, laundry, restaurant and cafeteria.

Pretoriuskop Restcamp Campsite has spectacularamazing granite outcrops and the impressive granite dome known as “Shabeni hill” is not far from the Rest Camp Camp

Pretoriuskop is situated located in the south-western part of the The KrugerKruger National Park only 9 km Nine Kilometers from Numbi Gate. The camp restcamp lies in a hilly region with many interesting, picturesque rocky outcrops and granite hills.

Rare unusual species like sable and rhino are fairly often sighted found in this area location, as well as the more prolific species such as impala, zebra, giraffe and wildebeest. The road way to Skukuza is well worth driving, and even better are the views from Hippo Pool and Doispane Road, from which you can look down on the Sabie river and its riverine beauty beauty.

Southeastwards runs the original unique transport riders’ route, and several some historic famous places, such as the Voortrekker road, the birthplace of Jock of the Bushveld and the Albasini ruins are within a short small drive from the camp campsite.

The first tourist hut in the park, the Wolhuter, is found in this camp campsite.

Guest House

Doherty Bryant Boma – 9 Nine persons people 3 Three x separate air-conditioned bedrooms, each with a bathroom en suite (bath, toilet and basin) as well as an open veranda porch with a small tiny refrigerator. One 1 bedroom has one 1 double bed and one 1 single bed and the others have three 3 single beds in each all. The central diningroom and kitchen are on the open veranda balcony. The kitchen is equipped with an electric stove (with oven), refrigerator, sink, cooking utensils, crockery and cutlery. The whole complex is surrounded by a reed boma, with a central barbecue braai area and an outdoor shower and open parking.

Pierre Joubert Guesthouse – 8 Eight persons people

Four 4 identical duplicate sleeping units (two 2 persons people per unit). Each Every unit has an air-conditioned bedroom with two 2 single beds, a bathroom (bath, shower, toilet and basin) and a lounge. The central recreation area consists of a lounge/diningroom with an open veranda balcony and patio balcony and a lookout above the patio porch. Kitchen with electric stove (with oven), refrigerator, sink, cooking utensils, crockery and cutlery. Toilet and basin. The lounge/diningroom has ceiling fans. Barbecue Braai facilities and open parking.

Guest Cottages

6 Six-bed guest cottages with three 3 bedrooms (each all with two 2 single beds and air-conditioning), two 2 bathrooms (one with bath and toilet and the other with shower and toilet), a fully-equipped kitchen (stove with oven) and veranda porch.

Family Cottages

4 four-bed family cottages with two 2 bedrooms (each all with air-conditioning and three 3 single beds) with one 1 bathroom (bath and toilet), refrigerator and veranda balcony.

Bungalows

6 six-bed bungalows with air-conditioning, shower, toilet, refrigerator, a two 2-plate stove (without oven), and sink. Cooking utensils, crockery and cutlery. One 1 bungalow has been adapted modified for handicapped persons people.

2 Two-bed bungalows with air-conditioning, shower, toilet and refrigerator, hot plate and sink, with basic cooking utensils, crockery and cutlery.

2 Two- and 4 Four-bed bungalows with bathroom (shower) and fridge, hot plate and basic cooking utensils, cutlery and crockery.

Huts

2 Two-bed, 3 Three-bed, 5 Five-bed and 6 Six-bed huts with air-conditioning and fridge, communal Public ablution toilets facilities, wash basin and refrigerator but without no veranda porch. Cooking utensils, crockery and cutlery are not aren’t provided.

Several Number of historic places location and attractions such as the Voortrekker Road, the birthplace of Jock of the Bushveld (a well known South African literary dog), and the Albasini Ruins are within a short timy drive from Pretoriuskop Camp Campsite.

Experienced guides will take you on game walks and drives if requested for your Kruger Kruger National Park safari. Night Night time game drives sometimes often round off with a traditional usualbush braai barbeque and there are also many wilderness trails in the area such at the Napi Trail which explores the picturesque charming woodland bushveld.

Game viewing is also excellent good, especially mainly for Rhino enthusiasts on a Kruger Kruger National Park safari. Numerous a number of Rhinos have been released let loose near Pretoriuskop Camp Campsite, which contributes to the White Rhino population of about 11 500, in the area location.

Game:
