Safaris at Berg en Dal Kruger National Park

The Berg-en-Dal Kruger Park is one of Kruger's average sized rest camp it is located off the banks of Matjulu-Dam. Visitors of the safari rest camp can just unwind inside the local cafeteria or prepare something to eat at the shared kitchen, purchase petrol in the petrol stations, enjoy a picnic, make use of the communal phones or simply enjoy a fine dinner in the eatery & revive themselves at the swimming pool facilities.

General

Man made structures in Berg en Dal are placed within Kruger's natural African bush scape and the gardens are planted with budding shrubs and African aloe treas. The camp management permits most of the naturally growing habitat to thrive unscathed within the campsite .

Tall trees grow next to the dry streams, which include the full sized acacias, gorgeous fuchsia, red bushwillow and graceful jackal berries. Special care is being afforded to spare the natural flora in Berg en Dal.

The stealthy African Leopard and rare Wild dogs are quite often viewed in the region. Lion are also often located in the lower grass plains on the road to Skukuza and Crocodile Bridge. Bird watchers will discover the draw of Berg en DalRestcamp irresistible as a wide variety of bird life is often found in the camp vicinity.

Berg-en-Dal Accommodation

Berg en Dal provides accommodation facilities varying from tent sites with electricity to caravan sites, three bed bungalows and or bigger accommodation facilities such as six & eight bed house units. Most of the activities at the rest camp consist of the Bushman and Wolhuter Wilderness Trails, early morning game drive, evening game drives and the Rhino trails camp walk.

Bungalow Cottages
Almost 70 x 3 bed bungalows, most with en-suite bathrooms (showers, no baths) and air-conditioning. Kitchenettes have hotplates and sinks and you have a choice option variety of with or without border view. Please verify when booking.

Rest Camp Family Cottages
23 x 6 bed units, (two of which are accessible available to wheelchairs) with 2 rooms (1 double bed, 2 single beds and 2 bunk beds in lounge) with separate shower, toilet and bath. Units equipped with open plan kitchen/dining room/lounge and bedrooms are air-conditioned.

Guest Houses
These are large luxury units in prime positions in the campsite. There are well-equipped kitchens (with microwave ovens), multiple bedrooms and bathrooms. Fully air-conditioned. Limited channel DSTV televisions are provided.
