Safaris at Berg en Dal Kruger Park

Berg en Dal Rest Camp is one of Kruger's intermediate size rest camps established off the banks of Matjulu Spruit. Visitors of the rest camp could just de stress inside the available tea room or get some something to eat at the shared kitchen, purchase fuel in the petrol stations, enjoy a picnic, make use of the communal telephones, enjoy a fine dinner in the restaurant & cool down in the camp pool.

General

Building structures in Berg-en-Dal are placed amongst natural bush and the grounds are pocked with flowering bush & African aloe treas. The camp management permits much of the local habitat to survive unscathed within the borders of the restcamp location.

Huge trees thrive along the flowing streams, which include the full sized acacias, stunning fuchsia, red bushwillow and graceful jackal berries. Painstaking care has being afforded to save the natural vegetation in the campsite.

Graceful Leopard and rare Wild dogs are regularly viewed in the region. African Lion are also often found within the low lying plains on the roads to Skukuza and Crocodile Bridge. Bird lovers will no doubt find the draw of Berg en Dal Camp irresistible as a vast diversity of bird life is viewed in the camp vicinity.

Berg-en-Dal Accommodation

The camp provides accommodation facilities varying from tent camp sites with power facilities to caravaning sites, three bed chalets and or larger accommodation facilities such as six and 8 beds houses. Activities at this rest camp consist of the Bushman & Wolhuter Wilderness Trails, sunrise 4x4 game drive, evening game drive and the Rhino trails camp walk.

Bungalow Units
Nearing 70 x three bedroom bungalows, equipped with en-suite bathrooms (showers, no baths) and air-conditioning. Kitchenettes have hotplates and sink and you have a choice option variety of with or without border view. Please verify when booking.

Berg en Dal's Family Cottages
23 x 6 bed units, (two of which are accessible available to wheelchairs) with 2 rooms (1 double bed, 2 single beds and 2 bunk beds in lounge) with separate shower, toilet and bath. Units equipped with open plan kitchen/dining room/lounge and bedrooms are air-conditioned.

Visitor Guest Houses
These are large luxury units in prime positions in the campsite. There are well-equipped kitchens (with microwave ovens), multiple bedrooms and bathrooms. Fully air-conditioned. Limited channel DSTV televisions are provided.
